Make Easter decorations yourself - 5 beautiful craft ideas

1. Door wreath for Easter

For this you need:

  • Wire hangers
  • Pliers
  • felt
  • hot glue
  • Effect yarn

That is how it goes:

1.1 Bend a coat hanger into the shape of a rabbit’s head, as shown in the video above.

1.2 Place the rabbit ears on a piece of felt and trace their outlines.

1.3 Cut the rabbit ears out of felt and glue them to the wire. Then hide the wire under fancy yarn – you have a wonderful door wreath for Easter.

2. Easter decorations to hang on

For this you need:

  • cardboard
  • Wool
  • Craft glue
  • Googly eyes
  • colored paper
  • Craft feathers

That is how it goes:

Cut out a typical Easter symbol from cardboard, for example an egg or a carrot. Then wrap the cardboard you have cut out tightly with a woolen thread and decorate it with colored paper, googly eyes or feathers if necessary; hang the Easter decoration on a bush, for example.

3. Decorative bowl made of egg shells

For this you need:

  • Eggshells
  • Spray paint
  • Craft glue
  • balloon

That is how it goes:

3.1 Spray the eggshells with paint and let them dry.

3.2 Cover half of an inflated balloon with white eggshells and wait until the glue has dried. Then carefully remove the balloon.

3.3 Now glue the eggshells, which have been sprayed with paint, into the inside of the shell – decorated with a few branches, eggs and some straw, the decorative shell is a very special eye-catcher in the Easter decoration.

4. XXL plaster egg as a flower pot

For this you need:

  • balloon
  • Plaster bandages
  • water
  • saw

That is how it goes:

4.1 Cover a balloon with wet plaster bandages and let them dry.

4.2 Carefully remove the balloon and cut the ends so that the plaster looks like a broken egg – this is the perfect Easter decoration for potted plants.

5. Straw bowl

For this you need:

  • Drinking straws
  • hot glue
  • Bowl
  • Spray paint

That is how it goes:

5.1 Cut the drinking straws into finger-length pieces. Then glue them together in a slightly larger bowl to form a bowl.

5.2 Then spray the drinking straw bowl with paint and let it dry – filled with colored eggs, this bowl will be the icing on the cake of your Easter decoration.
