Christmas decorations | DIY your Christmas decorations

The most beautiful time of the year is upon us: Christmas! The windows begin to fill with beautiful decorations, the fireplaces come back to life, and the scent of freshly baked cookies spreads throughout the house.

The houses are also nicely decorated. In addition to the classic decorations, which come out every year, many families have a habit of making their own Christmas decorations. Not only do they create great looking pieces that surpass anything on the market, but it’s also a wonderful way to do family crafts.

1. Canned snowman

In the workshop :

  • 4 large cans
  • Black and white spray paint
  • Hot glue
  • 1 black plate
  • Brush
  • Painting
  • Ribbon
  • Small scarf
  • Mistletoe branch

At work !

1.1 Spray white paint on 3 cans and black paint on the remaining can. Let the paint dry.

1.2 Now glue the three white boxes together to form a tower. Glue the black plate on the top one, then glue the black box on it.

1.3 Draw the snowman’s buttons, eyes, mouth and nose. Finally, decorate his hat with ribbon and a branch of mistletoe and tie a small scarf around the neck of the snowman.

2. Penguin in flowerpot

In the workshop :

  • 2 flowerpots of the same size
  • Black, white and yellow acrylic paint
  • Brush
  • Hot glue
  • Little Santa hat

At work !

2.1 Paint one of the two clay pots with acrylic paint so that it looks like the lower part of a penguin’s body.

2.2 Glue the two jars together and paint the top one so that it looks like the upper part of a penguin’s body.

2.3 Give the penguin a colorful face and put a Santa hat on it.

3. Small Christmas tree

In the workshop :

  • Card stock
  • Tape
  • Clingfilm
  • Water
  • White glue
  • Green wool
  • Little stars
  • LED candles

At work !

3.1 Fold the card stock in half and cut the corner into a round shape as in the photo.

3.2 Fold the paper and roll it up …

… Until you get the shape of a cone; Secure it with tape.

3.3 Wrap the cone in cling film.

3.4 Mix the white glue with a little water and soak the wool in it. Then wrap the wool around the cone.

3.5 Place small decorative stars on the wool when the glue is still wet. Wait until everything is dry, then carefully remove the cone and place the small tree on an LED candle.
