5 sweet snacks for your Halloween party

When you melt marshmallows and mix them with puffed rice cereal, you can get a lot of creativity in making sweet snacks. And as Halloween draws near, we’ve made 5 scary yet delicious appetizers.

1. Frankenstein

In the workshop :

  • 1 packet of marshmallows
  • Puffed Rice Cereal (Rice Krispies)
  • Green food coloring

Also :

  • Oil
  • Parchment paper and baking sheet
  • Melted chocolate
  • Sugar eyes
  • Icing
  • Mini marshmallows

At work !

1.1 Melt the marshmallows in the microwave and color them with green food coloring. Then mix them with the puffed rice.

1.2 Oil your hands well and spread the green mixture evenly on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper. Now cut the mixture into 6 rectangles of the same size.

1.3 Dip one side of the rectangles in the melted chocolate and place 2 sugar eyes under the chocolate.

1.4 Draw a mouth with the sugar icing and place the mini marshmallows to the left and right of the rectangle. Frankenstein’s little creatures are ready.

2. Ghosts on a stick

In the workshop :

  • 1 packet of marshmallows
  • Rice Krispies

Also :

  • Oil
  • Parchment paper and baking sheet
  • Ghost shaped cookie cutter
  • Plastic stick
  • Melted white chocolate
  • Sugar icing

At work !

2.1 Melt the marshmallows in the microwave and then mix them with the Rice Krispies. Then spread the mixture on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper.

2.2 Cut out the ghosts with a cookie cutter and insert a plastic stick into the ghosts.

2.3 Next, dip them completely in melted white chocolate. Draw a face on the ghosts with the frosting.

3. Mummies

In the workshop :

  • 1 packet of marshmallows
  • Rice Krispies

Also :

  • Oil
  • Greaseproof paper
  • Melted white chocolate
  • Sugar eyes

At work !

Mix the melted marshmallows with the puffed rice, spread them on baking paper with oiled hands and cut everything into rectangles of the same size. Completely dip the rectangles in melted white chocolate. Place 2 sugar eyes on each of the rectangles, then sprinkle them with melted white chocolate (preferably from a pastry bag).

4. Small pumpkins

In the workshop :

  • 1 package of waffles
  • Rice Krispies

Also :

  • Oil
  • Orange food coloring
  • Lutti Long Fizz candies
  • Small pralines
  • Icing

At work !

4.1 Melt the marshmallows in the microwave and color the mixture orange. Then mix them with the puffed rice. Shape the mixture into small pumpkins.

4.2 Place a small praline on the pumpkin and cut a sheet of the Lutti Long Fizz candies. Place the foil next to the small praline and paint a face on the small pumpkin with the frosting.

5. Scary eyes

In the workshop :

  • 1 packet of marshmallows
  • Rice Krispies
  • Food coloring (orange, purple, green and black)

At work

Melt the marshmallows and divide the mixture between different bowls. Color each mixture with a different color, then mix them with the puffed rice. Oil your hands well and form a few balls from the colored mixture and flatten them a little. Finally, place a large sugar eye on each ball.
