5 ideas for Halloween pumpkins 2020

Halloween pumpkin carving has become a fall tradition. We see more and more in the entrances of houses, everywhere in France, but especially in the north-east of France! Here we show you 5 ways to carve your Halloween pumpkin. From cute to scary, you’ll have plenty to do!

1. Kittens in a pumpkin

In the workshop :

  • 1 large pumpkin
  • Patterned adhesive tapes
  • 1 glass bowl
  • 4 pumpkins
  • 8 buttons
  • Foam rubber
  • 4 pairs of homemade cat ears

At work !

1.1 Cut out the upper part of the pumpkin, hollow it out and decorate the outside with patterned tape.

1.2 Place an inverted salad bowl in the hollowed-out pumpkin.

1.3 Turn the four pumpkins with the buttons, foam rubber and homemade ears into little cat heads. Place them on the glass bowl and place the previously cut upper part of the pumpkin on an angle on top. It’s so cute, that!

2. Pumpkin with sweet hair

In the workshop :

  • 1 large pumpkin
  • Lollipops
  • Tea light candle

At work !

2.1 Drill several holes in the top third of the pumpkin.

2.2 Carve a face in the pumpkin.

2.3 Put lollipops in the holes and light a tea light before putting it in the pumpkin. And There you go !

3. Pumpkin house

In the workshop :

  • 1 large pumpkin
  • 1 pumpkin
  • Toothpick
  • Tea light candle

At work !

3.1 Cut out a door shape from the pumpkin and set it aside. Then, hollow out the pumpkin through this door.

3.2 Cut out a window in the pumpkin.

3.3 Draw a face on the pumpkin and place it with a tea light in the pumpkin. Then secure the door to the pumpkin with a toothpick. A warm little home!

4. Mouse holes

In the workshop !

  • 1 large pumpkin
  • Plastic mouse
  • Tea light candle

At work !

Cut out the bottom of the pumpkin and core it. Then, drill holes of different sizes in the pumpkin. Put the pumpkin on a tea light and place the plastic mice in the holes. Your decoration is ready!

5. Halloween pumpkin

In the workshop :

  • 1 large pumpkin
  • Cookie Cutters with Halloween Shapes
  • Tea light candle

At work !

5.1 Cut the bottom of the pumpkin and hollow it out.

5.2 Now place a Halloween cookie cutter on the outside of the pumpkin and hammer it in, for example with a hammer, until you can remove the shape, as shown below.

5.3 Repeat the process with other Halloween cookie cutters, then place the pumpkin on a tea light, light it and enjoy the cute Halloween designs on your pumpkin.

Carved pumpkins different from what we are used to seeing. You stick to the Halloween theme, but don’t overly freak out all the toddlers in your neighborhood. In any case, we can not do better decoration!
